Once again, Winchester Xtreme Exhibition Shooter, Patrick Flanigan, destroys a world record. In filming for an upcoming episode of the the TV show Shooting USA's "Impossible Shots," Flanigan shot the targets under the view of a full film crew with multiple angles.
Never before has this been done with a true ONE HANDED hip shot. Considered nearly impossible to break in the past, the record falls at seven targets. View the videos carefully to see how difficult it is to correctly aim at each falling target with only one hand on the shotgun.
An update from Patrick on the world record.
"Here are a few notes on the world record last week. I was filming for the TV show Shooting USA Impossible Shots . . . and felt like challenging myself. It was very windy. My hand is wrapped with duct tape as it was blistered and bleeding from shooting over 3,000 rounds in just a few days and throwing roughly 750 stacks of clays for the show. We made the impossible very possible on numerous occasions throughout the three day filming session. I pulled off a variety of some of the best exhibition shooting shots and routines. The record I broke is for throwing seven (7) clays by hand and shooting each with a separate shot from the hip and with ONE HAND. The ONE HAND deal is what makes this extremely difficult. As my fans know, seven from the hip with two hands is something I have done before -- in fact I have video of myself shooting 9 that way. But this is a first time for seven with one hand."
